A little information about my Solar System. The system was installed on November 23rd 2011 and was officially turned on March 8th 2012. I have a total of 30 Panels, Sharp NU-Q235F4 each with an Enphase M215-60-2LL-S2X Microinverter. Total AC Production of 7.05kW DC / 6.1kW AC. I know most people would wonder, how much will this actually power? Since I have been added to the grid, my average daily usage is 26kWh and my production from my panels has been between 8kWh a day to 42kWh. Averaging out to 35kWh. I am a work from home employee, who is on the computer all day, with ac/heater running, and i am still producing more that I use :) Makes me pretty happy.
Now about the install vendors that I used for this process. I signed the agreement for the solar with Real Good Solar, but before installing the solar, it was advised to replace/redo my roof. This was done by CALLECO, one bit of information I wish I knew before was that CALLECO also does Solar Install. Not only were they better to work with, but i would have been able to write off and declare the entire expense and gotten 30% off. Oh well Something others can do now. Real Goods Solar is a company that provided a very competitive price, which is the reason why I went with them. The product installed is great, but customer service was/is nonexistent. Initial install was 32 panels, I didn't find out till the installers showed up that they were only installing 30. A price update for that change had to be requested.
